I created this blog after I realized that I’m not the only one who constantly battles with food. Many of us from all ages, shapes, and sizes are struggling on a daily basis. I’m even thinking about food right now. At five-foot tall, I have yo-yoed with my weight for as long as I can remember. I know first hand how exhausting even thinking about the gym sounds and how gross plain chicken and veggies seem, but the hardest part is getting started! If it were easy we would all be walking around with a six-pack and Jennifer Anniston arms! Protein Powders Better For Your Body

 I’ve realized most of the protein and health snacks I was consuming was just as processed and refined as a candy bar. YIKES! Many of your protein products, supplements and vitamins aren’t regulated by the FDA either.

As a consumer this waves a huge red flag! Our foods contain ingredients and artificial sweeteners that haven’t been around long enough to know what harms they may be causing.




 I’ve always been a fan of NOW and their products, especially  vitamins. I’ve never tried their protein before or gave it any thought until I started looking into better options. I’ve only had the vanilla flavored protein powder and I highly suggest trying it! They have regular whey but I like the isolate because it’s normally higher in protein while staying lower in sugar, fat and carbs!

 Next we have…




Isopure is another fav! It’s a bit pricier but worth it! Once you dive head in to the food and fitness world you adjust to anything health related being higher priced. You know the saying, ‘it pays the cost to be the boss’? Well, it also pays the cost to be healthy as well!

A main reason I prefer a lower carb protein is because my body is super sensitive to carbs. It took me a while and lots of experimenting with my diet to figure this out! All bodies are different so what is best for me might not be the best for you. Overall it’s best to find products that are as natural and clean as possible!

Especially if you’re consuming or baking with a lot of protein powders, it’s a good idea to get a lower carb count anyhow.

But keep in mind, the recommended serving size for this protein is 2 scoops. However, I only use 1 scoop so the nutritional value will all be split in half.






 I stumbled across this brand but haven’t tried personally… YET! I used to make fruit and vegetable beverages until my nutri-bullet broke! A foodies nightmare! I do have a food processor but that’s too much work just for a smoothie.

Hello my healthy and happy followers!

I wanted to give an update on my where abouts!
I’m guilty of being a ghost when it comes to posting new recipes and fit tips. For that I apologize! However, if you don’t follow me on social media, I highly suggest you do! That’s where you will see most of my activity!

The closest ones to me are aware of my ADD tendencies and are puzzled as to how I can run a blog/social medias, prepare my creative kitchen creations, design clothing and apparel for my online shops, continue to train and progress in the gym, maintain a social life, have a busy career as a professional eyelash extension artist, while also giving time to my family, fur babies, husband and friends.

NEWS FLASH! I constantly wonder the same! It sounds like a lot when I explain to people what I do. BUT-I’m a busy body! I’m passionate for the things that I love and believe in.

With that said…

My husband and I have started a new venture in YouTube doing product reviews. This will be a weekly upload of the real and raw reactions we have as we try certain health products for  the first time.

I came upon this idea one day when my husband and I were sharing a protein bar we both never had. It was interesting to hear his opinion and thoughts about the product compared to what I was thinking and it all snowballed from there! I’m not paid or sponsored to do this and I will never post a video with a false review.

I hope this helps others as they navigate their way through the foreign, over priced health isles like we do! Let these videos be your guide to guilt free purchases when picking between certain items, flavors and brands!

Chocolate Trail Mix PROTEIN Oat Bars!


We all know trail mix is a great snack but also super addicting! I wanted to make another way to eat these yummy ingredients so I turned them into delicious freezer bars!

 These bars are very easy to make and take little time. Mix, pour, stir and you’re a few steps closer to your new favorite treat!


Dry mixture

♥ 1 1/2 cup rolled oats

♥ 1/4 cup craisins

♥ 1/4 cup raisins

♥ 3 tbs sunflower seeds

♥ 1/3 cup roughly chopped almonds

Wet mixture

♥ 1/4 cup chocolate protein

♥ 3 tablespoons chocolate powdered peanut butter

♥ tablespoon coconut oil

♥ water

You will need 3 bowls for this recipe! Your first bowl will be for the dry ingredients, second bowl will be for making the wet mixture and your third bowl is for melting your coconut oil in the microwave.

The most important thing about this recipe, is adding your wet mixture last.

In a medium size mixing bowl, pour all the dry ingredients, mix and set aside.

 For your wet mixture grab two small bowls, one being microwaveable.

With your first small bowl, mix your chocolate protein and powdered peanut butter together. Add small tablespoon amounts of water at a time until you get a syrup-like consistency.

In your second bowl (make sure it is microwaveable) melt your coconut oil in the microwave. This doesn’t take long so be careful not to burn!

Remove from the microwave and pour your melted coconut oil into your small bowl of the chocolate protein mixture! After you mix these two bowls together, pour entire mixture into your bowl of dry ingredients. Incorporate the dry and wet ingredients together until a thick oatmeal batter is formed.

I used a nonstick silpat but you could also use a baking sheet with wax paper.

Spread out evenly and place in your freezer to set.

After it has hardened, cut into squares or preferred portion sizes.

Birthday Cake Breakfast Waffle For DUMMIES!

I’ve been celebrating a lot of birthdays over these past few months so I thought this would be a great recipe to make for your loved one on their special day!

You don’t have to be the best cook or baker in the world to create this masterpiece!

I’ve played around with the ingredients and come up with the one and done method!

All of the ingredients you will be using will be in the amount of only ONE measurement.
It goes a little something like this.. You need a batter right? Right. But what? And how much?!
We will keep it simple.

Mix your batter and pour into your waffle maker!

1 scoop of protein

1 egg

1 tsp baking powder

1tsp vanilla

And there you have it!

Instead of sprinkles, try adding chocolate chips or nuts!

Better Than Cool Ranch Doritos! PAQUI’s Wild Wild Ranch Chips Review!

I know what you’re thinking. Cool Ranch Doritos, that we’ve held so close to our hearts are irreplaceable and it’s crazy talk to think anything else could compare…

GLUTEN FREE Black Bean Protein Fudge Brownies!


You spin me right round brownies right round like a record baby right round, round, round!

Bring out the blender and your party pants because we’re going on a black bean brownie adventure!

I’ve seen brownies made all kinds of ways. For me, I find the black bean or sweet potato brownies to be my favorite! I love sweet potatoes in general and I love the fact that black beans are already dark in color which make them perfect for a brownie substitute.  

My best advice, don’t dismiss this recipe! These brownies will end up way better than you’d expect.

I’ve made the same batch before with added chocolate peanut butter and MAN did that take them to a new level!

As always, get creative! Add nuts, sprinkles, chocolate chips or whatever your taste buds are craving!



1 can of black beans, rinsed and dried

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

2 tbs tapioca flour *optional* I just love adding tapioca flour to make my treats fluffier and rich!

2-3 drops of liquid stevia vanilla drops or sweetener of choice. I used Sweetleaf . Honey or peanut butter would be great options too!

 Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender until a smooth batter is formed. If your mixture is too dry, go ahead and add small amounts of water.

 Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting.

NOTE: If your brownies still look like they need to firm up, place in the fridge for them to harden.

Use this recipe as a template to substitute the black beans with bananas or sweet potatoes!

White Chocolate Strawberry Love Muffins!




Because, Valentine’s Day!!

But before we get into this recipe, I wanted to share a quick workout of the day!

This was a fast paced butt kicker using my spin bike and perfect when you’re short on time!

Warm Up!

♥Stretch♥Jump Squats♥Jumping Jacks♥Walking Lunges♥

Work It Out! 15 Minutes!

1 minute seated upright

1 minute leaning forward, increasing resistance

 1 minute standing up, increasing resistance

repeat 3 times

Now on with the good stuff!!!

I wont’t lie, I almost ate all the batter before they reached the oven!

White Chocolate Strawberry Love Muffins!


  • 3/4 cup oat flour
  • 3/4 cup vanilla greek yogurt
  • 2 tbs cashew milk
  • 2 tbs tapioca flour. You don’t have to use this but I LOVE using tapioca flour! It makes all my healthy treats nice and fluffy!

  • 1 scoop strawberry protein (or vanilla)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda *optional
  • white chocolate chips/sprinkles or other fun add-ins!

The process…

  • Using two separate bowls, prepare your dry and wet ingredients .
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of the dry to form a batter.
  • Add in your white chocolate chips/sprinkles.
  • Place a spoonful amount of batter onto a prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes at 375. All ovens vary so keep an eye on them!
  • Remove, allow to cool and surprise your someone special!
