You asked for it, you got it!
It doesn’t get any better than these little fellas!
My peanut nutter butter balls!
Below is honest to goodness, one of my most sought out after recipes! I’m shocked it wasn’t on my blog already!
Saying it’s a crowd pleaser is a huge understatement! They are quick to prepare and I bet you have most of the ingredients on hand!
You get a perfect bite every time! It’s amazing how simple ingredients can compliment each other so well. You’ll have a hard time having just one–and I don’t blame yah!
I love having these as a quick snack to satisfy my sweet tooth after a meal or to bring to parties and get togethers. They are definitely a holiday hit! Not to mention a perfect treat for kids that’s mess-free, especially when traveling!
To make these more festive, buy some fun paper straws instead of toothpicks for easy pick up!
BEST EVER Peanut Nutter Butter Balls
INGREDIENTS
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup peanut butter whip
1/2 cup ground flax seed
2 heaping tablespoons of mini chocolate chips
*cocoa nibs are great too!
1/3 cup organic honey or agave
PREPARATION
Mix, mix, mix, till you can’t mix any more! If your batter is too sticky, place inside your refrigerator to harden.
Roll into snack size balls and store in an air tight container. I like to keep mine in the fridge but they are fine kept out as well.
The flax is nice because it gives a little crunch! If you want more of a butterfinger-like texture, double the flax!
Don’t forget to play around with your ingredients!
Cinnamon powder and raisins would be delish, as well as almond slivers, sunflower seeds, walnuts, protein powders, dried fruit, or any of your favorite yummies to snack on!
Happy Tuesday!
