Merry Christmas ya’ll!
Enjoying this morning with Santas favorite breakfast treat! Banana nut bread protein cookies with chocolate chips!
I threw this recipe together to get rid of bananas I had that were getting ready to go bad.
When that happens to my bananas, that either means I’m making ice-cream, protein balls or some sort of cookie!
I had new vanilla protein come in the mail which inspired me to do something not peanut butter related. CRAZY, I know!
So banana nut bread it is!
You can add in your chocolate chips and walnuts to taste. I just wanted a hint so I added small amounts of each.
You can freeze these and pop in the microwave when ready to consume for a quick breakfast or snack!
INGREDIENTS
1 ripe banana
1 cup old fashioned oats
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
1 scoop vanilla protein
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
♥ Blend all of your ingredients together, folding in your walnuts and chocolate chips last.
♥ Spray your baking sheet and scoop out tablespoons of batter.
♥ Bake at 300 for 10-12 minutes. If using a regular size oven, bake for longer.
If they are still a little soft don’t worry!
When cooking with protein, they will harden as you let them cool.
Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy Holidays!
Enjoy!
Looks and sounds delicious!
