Another melt in your mouth sweet treat alternative! With only a handful of ingredients, 10 minutes out of your day, some ccupcake liners, and you’ll have a batch of your own in no time!
This recipe is split up into two portions; the top layer and the bottom layer. You can prepare with mini cupcake liners or regular. I personally like making the mini cups for a smaller portion when I’m in need of a quick snack!
Prep your cupcake tin with liners before getting started….
Bottom Layer: Peanut Butter
• 2 tbs melted coconut oil
• 4 tbs your choice of nut butter (I used regular JIF peanut butter. You could also experiment with PB2)
• 1 tbs sugar free maple syrup
Top Layer: Chocolate
• 2 tbs melted coconut oil
• 4 tbs JIF peanut butter **Try JIF chocolate flavored peanut butter to add more chocolate yumminess!
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1 tbs sugar free maple syrup
*Don’t hesitate to play around with this recipe. I’ve used this recipe as a template and created a variety of freezer cups using different nuts, peanut butter and protein flavors! Almond butter with vanilla protein on the top layer is great too!
Place one tablespoon of the bottom layer in your cupcake liners and place in the freezer for 10 minutes to harden.
Remove tray.
Now add a tablespoon of the top layer mixture into your cupcake liners and set in the freezer for another 10 minutes to harden.
Keep treats stored in freezer and remove when ready to consume!
Enjoy!
