All you need is your favorite bread, jam, peanut butter, a sharp knife and a toothpick!
For my sandwiches I used whole wheat sandwich thins, JIF chocolate whip peanut butter, and sugar-free strawberry jelly.
This is an even better food idea for those crust free PB&J fans!
After you prepare your sandwiches, use a sharp knife and carefully carve out oval shape ‘footballs’. You can save your crust to eat later, feed the scraps to your dog or use in your protein shakes like I do!
With a toothpick draw on the chocolate laces on top of your sandwiches and waaah-la!
If you aren’t a fan of PB&J or want to make a heartier football snack, cut out your football shapes first and fill the inside with desired filling. I think cucumber sandwiches, shredded BBQ pork, grilled cheese or buffalo chicken would be delish!
