Regardless of having Alley Cakes do our wedding and already thinking they’re the best, I had such a blast at their Meet, Make and Celebrate cake decorating class with all my work peeps! They offer other classes including cake pops and macaroons. This is such a cool idea for any bakery to offer!
Your job is to show up, listen to some quick tips and be ready to roll your sleeves up and get a little messy!
Your table will have all the supplies necessary.
I was happy to see a huge bowl of their buttercream icing!
You can pick which of the three icing methods that were taught to decorate your cake. They went over how to do ruffles, roses and one of their own original methods they put together for a bride while creating her cake!
Once you’ve practiced and completed your icing process, the decorating begins!
You can head to the table of fun add ins! This included sprinkles, cake toppers, and fresh flowers!
Everything was clean, organized and they were very helpful!
I would do another class like this in a heart beat!
It would be great for birthday parties, a ladies get together, bachelorettes, team building, you name it!
I have to admit it isn’t as easy as it looks and I give everyone in the pastry and baking industry huge props!
With the holidays around the corner, I’m definitely feeling inspired !
Don’t hesitate to look into your local bakeries to see if they offer something like this! You won’t regret it!
