I know what you’ll be doing this weekend after you read this post! I’m telling ya’ll, there’s nothing better than eating something so delicious that’s actually GOOD for you! Indulge in a cookie that’s butter free, gluten free, low calorie, with a high protein and fiber content!
These cookies are so dense with chocolate flavor and filled with warm, gooey chocolate chips! Pairing with a glass of milk is a must!
The protein powder I used for this recipe is in my top 3 favorite powders! The protein powder itself has little bits of chocolate chips inside which makes it even better to bake and create protein treats with!
*Note: If you want to make these skinnier, try chocolate peanut butter powder such as JIF or PB2. You can find either in your local supermarket. The peanut butter in this recipe is what carries the most calories so using a peanut butter alternative will help you cut back dramatically.
Mix, fold, mold, bake! It’s truly that easy!
Here we go!
Chocolate Lovers Chocolate Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie
♥ Mix together your dry ingredients. This includes, cocoa powder, coconut flour, chocolate chocolate chip protein powder, baking powder and baking soda.
♥ Now for the wet.
I did the milk and eggs first and incoporated the peanut butter last.
♥ Combine all together until a batter is formed. You want it to be thick, more like a dough than a wet batter. Fold in your chocolate chips.
♥ Scoop out tablespoon amounts on a lightly sprayed baking pan and flatten with your hand. If you want a rounder, puff-like cookie, keep the dough shaped into a ball.
♥ Bake at 325 for 8-10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool for cookies to harden. Careful not to overcook! Protein bakes fast!
Above is my cookie before I placed it in the oven.
And below, waaaah-la!
Your chocolate dreams have come true!
I was pleasantly surprised how awesome these turned out. I still keep thinking to myself, wow, healthy, chocolatey AND with two scoops of protein!
Like making one of your cookies, eat a cookie! Nom-nom-nom!
The next morning I used a cookie to crumble in my oatmeal. In your yogurt would be good too! Don’t forget you can freeze your extra batter and save it for later!
Happy Sweet Sunday everyone!
